Privacy policies don't need to be pages long, so I'll keep this short and sweet:
Your Data
techbits.io collects the minimum amount of personal data it possibly can. If you signup (required to leave comments), you'll be prompted to enter your name, email address and an optional one-liner to describe yourself. No passwords are stored—logins are handled via magic-links, sent to your email.
This data is stored in a database which is managed and updated using industry-standard practices.
Cookies
A first-party cookie is used if you log in to leave a comment. This is considered a functional cookie as the website wouldn't work without it. No third-party cookies are used.
Tracking
Anonymised tracking data is collected using Google Analytics. This is done without using a cookie, and therefore can't be used to track you once you've left techbits.io
Affiliates
If you click on any affiliate links, anonymous (& collective) data may be provided back to me (e.g. the total number of visitors), but nothing with any identifiable information. Third parties will have their own privacy policies to determine how they handle your data.
